Royal Commission community forum in Launceston
The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety has announced details of a community forum to take place in Launceston, Tasmania.
The Royal Commission wants to hear from the Australian community about their experiences of and ideas about aged care. In addition to submissions and hearings, the Commission is undertaking a series of community forums, roundtable meetings with experts, and service provider visits during the course of its inquiry into aged care delivery in Australia.
Community forums are an opportunity for members of the local community to hear about the work of the Royal Commission and to offer ideas on the problems, strengths and opportunities to improve aged care.
The forum will take place from 1.30pm to 4pm on Thursday 3 October 2019, at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, 29 Cameron Street, Launceston TAS 7250.
Commissioner, Lynelle Briggs AO will attend.

Members of the public can register for free to attend the forums, where a limited number will be able to make a brief statement.
