New over-50s resort GemLife Pacific Paradise planned

Australian over-50s lifestyle resort developer, GemLife, has launched a new master-planned community, GemLife Pacific Paradise, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

The property development will comprise 96 luxurious homes, set within a pet-friendly, gated community with extensive recreational and sporting facilities.

To be built on 4.4 hectares of land on the Sunshine Coast, GemLife Pacific Paradise represents a premium offering from the company, with larger-than-standard size homes, high ceilings and luxury fittings and finishes. The Pacific Paradise development is designed to support a resort-style environment, providing low maintenance homes for empty-nesters or Australians looking to downsize.

“Wellbeing and vibrant living are a priority. Our resorts deliver an exceptional blend of first-class recreational and leisure facilities for active and social lifestyles, together with meticulously designed, modern and stylish homes,” said Mr Adrian Puljich, Chief Executive Officer and Director.

The GemLife Pacific Paradise country club will be modelled on GemLife’s award-winning clubhouses at Bribie Island and Highfields in Queensland.

It will accommodate a range of recreational facilities including an outdoor yoga studio, pool with spa, fully equipped gym, sauna, ten-pin bowling alley, tennis, bocce and pickleball courts, a gold class style cinema, art & craft studio, music room, wine room, bar & coffee lounge, and more.

The Sunshine Coast is the second most popular destination for interstate migration, driven by its mild subtropical climate, relaxed lifestyle and comparatively affordable housing.

Unlike other providers in the industry, GemLife does not charge entry or exit fees, providing financial transparency and certainty for home buyers. Homeowners retain 100% of capital gain.

Construction at the resort’s Menzies Drive site is scheduled to begin before the end of Q3 2019, with the first homes ready to move into in early 2020. Development approval was granted earlier this year in February.

Based in Queensland, GemLife launched in late 2016 as a joint venture with parent company Living Gems and financial partner Thakral Capital. It now has six properties across Australia, accommodating more than 1300 residences.
