Senate Community Affairs References Committee inquiry submissions

Submissions to the Senate Committee are available for public review.

On 13 June 2017, the Senate referred the matter of the Effectiveness of the Aged Care Quality Assessment and accreditation framework for protecting residents from abuse and poor practices, and ensuring proper clinical and medical care standards are maintained and practised to the Senate Community Affairs References Committee for inquiry and report.

The inquiry and the findings of this matter are of great importance to the Aged Care Complaints Commissioner as well as the people that the Complaints Commissioner aims to help. For this reason, the Commission made a submission to this inquiry.

The Commission confirmed that the committee has decided to accept and publish its submission as public.
